Gnocchi (pronounced nee-okkee) are fantastic with all sorts of sauces, from a simple summer tomato sauce to the richest winter meat sauce. In making gnocchi you should steam the potatoes rather than boil them. You can also microwave them.
Ingredients:
1 large russet potato
1 egg
1/2 to 3/4 cup flour depending on a wide array of factors
